This was our last day in New Mexico. Kaitlyn had spent the night with her cousins and was already at Granny's house and playing when Kaitlyn and I got up. I packed up our stuff while the girls played and then it was time to say goodbye :( I really expected tears from Kinsey, but we had one more night of fun and it took a little while for things to sink in. For the next week she kept talking sadly about how much she missed her cousins and asking when we were going to move to New Mexico.
Cute girls!
My parents drove us to Albuquerque and we went out to get some Texas BBQ. It was SO GOOD. When we were trying to decide where to go to grad school, we narrowed our choices to Chapel Hill and Austin, Texas. I am glad for so many reason that we ended up in North Carolina, but I often morn the Texas BBQ we are missing out on. And the TexMex.
We stayed that night (if you can call 4 hours of sleep a night) in a hotel and we took the girls swimming before bed. They loved the hot tub, that was broken and only room temperature, and all the bubbles. After the pool we gave them a good bath and then Kaitlyn decided she needed some lotion. New Mexico is dry after all and you can't forget to moisturize!
