Trip to New Mexico-Day 14

Papa took the 2 oldest grand kids, Kinsey and Avery, fishing. Addy was bummed that she didn't get to go too, so I took her to the grocery store with me to buy some snacks for our upcoming flight. After the trip, she politely informed me that while the store was fun, fishing with Papa would have been her first choice :) I don't blame her but I had fun hanging out with just Addy.

Starla had us over for breakfast burritos that night. Jason had told Kinsey that Starla was the best egg maker around and that Kinsey should ask her for a lesson. She must have gotten a good lesson because now Kinsey insists on making all our eggs and tells me anytime I do anything differently than Aunt Starla.

Kinsey really, really wants a cat, but Jason is very allergic, I'm a little allergic, and as you can see from these pictures, Kinsey is definitely allergic as well! She's so sad about this, and says that she just didn't wash her hands before rubbing her eyes, but I'm pretty sure getting a cat would be a bad idea for our family.

The kids jumped on the trampoline for awhile before Kinsey got grumpy and decided to go swing by herself. She ended up getting stung by a wasp. We didn't even believe her at first because she had been crying the whole night. 2 weeks of vacation is about all my girls can handle! We finally saw the sting mark, took care of her, and she had a better night after that. She got to spend the night with her cousins and had lots of fun.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
