Pullen Park

We did make it back to Pullen Park a few weeks later with some friends. The girls love Pullen Park. We were there the other day for a party and we were busy talking with friends and hadn't gone on any rides. Kinsey came up to me and said, "Mom this is Pullen Park, not Party Park! Can we please go ride the train?"

This is the first time I've let the girls ride these little boats and I think it will be the last! Kinsey cried the whole time because her friend got the spot she wanted and I had to keep telling Kaitlyn to keep her hands inside the boat and to stay seated. They just go around in a little circle. Compared to the train and carousel, it's pretty lame. But Gigi sure looks cute in this picture!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
