ENT

Kaitlyn sees her ENT every six months to check on her tubes and her ears in general.  We REALLY like our ENT (he's this guy who performed this surgery) but so does everyone else in the state so the wait to see him is always really, really long.  We went last week and sat in the waiting room for over an hour and a half.  That waiting room is an interesting place.  While sitting there I listened in on a conversation between two 70 year old men, one white and one black.  They were discussing their respective experiences with their cochlear implants.  I just kept thinking, NOTHING about that scenario would have happened 50 year ago.  We really have come a long way in not too long of time...

We did finally see the doctor.  He pulled out one tube because it was basically out, just "stuck" in her ear but left the other.  I also had him check out her previously broken nose and he said it looks perfect.  He told me that Kaitlyn is beautiful and determined, which I already know, but it's still always nice to hear :)  Especially from someone who performs fancy, life changing surgeries :)
