Downtown Raleigh

The girls and I headed downtown to spend the day at Pullen Park but we couldn't find any parking. Pullen Park is so much fun but the parking is ridiculous! We ended up at a few of the awesome museums instead. The girls had so much fun!

The Museum of Life and Science has the best butterfly room. There are so many and the girls enjoyed identifying and naming the butterflies.

We stopped for a hot dog from a street vendor. Well, Kinsey and I did.

Kaitlyn had her trusty peanut butter sandwich.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
