2.5

Kaitlyn is officially 2 1/2! I've always wanted to celebrate half birthdays, and this year I am doing it! Kaitlyn's is first, and we had such a fun time. Now Kinsey can't wait for her half birthday. Half birthdays at our house will from henceforth consist of cupcakes (with candles and the birthday song of course) and homemade presents.

Half-Birthday Girl

I made the girls dry erase quiet books. They love them (Yes, I said girls. Kinsey got one too. I wanted to make them for at church, and didn't want to wait a month and a half for her to have one too).

Kinsey made this for Kaitlyn...not sure what it is but she worked really hard on it.

Our cute little friend Kylie wrote Kaitlyn this note and gave her $1.02. Kaitlyn was so, so, so excited about her money. Today I mentioned Kylie and Kaitlyn said, "Kylie money! I love it money!" And pretended to hug Kylie. So, if you really want to make an impression on Kaitlyn, all it takes is a little bit of money apparently...

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
