4

Kinsey had her 4 year old check-up yesterday. Can you believe that this was the first time I was in the doctor's office for an appointment JUST FOR KINSEY since Kaitlyn was born???

Kinsey checked out great. She has perfect hearing (thank goodness!) and better than normal eye sight. She is healthy and developmentally on track. It feels sooo good to hear things like this every once in awhile. We don't take things like this for granted anymore, especially when it comes to our kiddos.

I had been worrying about her next round of immunizations all summer long. Kinsey has developed a pretty good paranoia of shots after seeing Kaitlyn get poked countless times. It isn't the process that bothers her, she used to love to watch me give Kailtyn her shots (crazy creepy kid, or maybe just a future nurse?) but hearing Kaitlyn's crying has led her to think that needles really hurt. She doesn't deal well with pain and she is sooo dramatic. She scraped her knee one time and it took me and my brother-in-law to hold her still so Jason could clean it. Anyways, come to find out, she just has to have the shots at some point before she starts kindergarten. Since she has two long years before she goes, we decided to wait until she was a little more "emotionally ready" for the shots :)

She's still not very big, but she's gained pretty well this past year...

40 inches--55th percentile
33.6 pounds--38th percentile

She's a pretty cool kid. I think we'll keep her.
