Outer Banks

We've been to the beach a few times since we moved here, but we had never gone to the Outer Banks until this past weekend. We loved it. Only problem? It was freezing! I guess I thought that it would magically be warm simple because we were at the beach. Not so much. It was fun though. We stayed in a great beach house with some wonderful friends, ate a lot of good food, saw the ocean, enjoyed the sights, bought some souvenirs, and made plans to go back when it's warm!

Kinsey played in the sand with her mittens on. Funny girl.

We took a day trip to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Again, it was freezing so we just took a couple of pictures and then left. Thank you to Marcos who staying inside the gift shop with Kaitlyn so she didn't freeze!

Kinsey had so much fun having a playmate close to her size. She also had fun bossing him around :)

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
