Kaitlyn is 5 months old today. No idea how that happened...

She still likes her binky when she is going to sleep, but during the day she is happy to suck on her fingers.
She doesn't usually mind being in her carseat (which is such a blessing because she gets hauled from place to place all day).
She currently gets 5 shots each week, plus she gets her blood drawn once a week. She does not like the shots, the medicine burns when it goes in and it makes her bones hurt (that's what I read online anyways--obviously she can't tell me this).
She generally goes to sleep very easily, but lately she's been trying to fight it if we are at church or somewhere else interesting.
She really likes falling asleep in Jason's arms.
She makes noises to get our attention and then smiles at us.
She is not as sociable as Kinsey was. Kinsey smiled at everyone and everything. You have to work a little harder to earn Kaitlyn's love. I don't blame her. Half the people she meets poke her with needles.
She loves it when we sing to her.
She makes the cutest noises EVER and still smiles in her sleep which I love more than anything.

She's so fun!

Kinsey's fun too. Her latest? If she doesn't know the word for something, she just makes it up and then tells me that she was speaking in Spanish.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

Kinsey and I took a walk to take some things to the recycling bins. She usually brings her stroller and a doll or two but didn't ask to this time. When we were halfway to the recycling bins, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Oh my! We forgot mine stroller!"

Kinsey poked herself in the eye today and kept crying about it. Apparently I didn't comfort her good enough because she kept saying "See Cole!" (our friend Nicole). I kept telling her that we couldn't go see Nicole right now and she finally said, "Get in car and see Cole!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
