Update on Kaitlyn

I got a phone call yesterday from our infectious disease doctor telling me that Kaitlyn's anemia had gotten worse and that we needed to be at the hospital first thing this morning for a blood transfusion. Kaitlyn and I were at the hospital for about 9 hours today where they gave her 1.5 ounces of blood. Her color looks better and she seems to have a bit more energy. I took a few pictures of the poor girl and I will try to post them tomorrow. Hopefully this brings her red blood cell count up and we wont have to do it again.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
