Painting?

Today we went to the pediatricians to get Kaitlyn's blood drawn. The medicine that she is on for the CMV has caused her to become anemic. The nurse poked Kaitlyn's heel then squeezed the blood into a small vial. There was a good bit of blood on her foot.

Kinsey was watching the whole thing. She is getting a pretty good introduction to the medical field with all these appointments (we all are). She was watching curiously and then finally said, "Why is the nurse painting Kaitlyn's foot?" The nurse could not stop laughing, she said that Kinsey made her day and she would always remember her saying that. I keep thinking Kinsey is growing up too fast (she is) but times like that remind me of how innocent and little she still is.

Kaitlyn weighed in at 6 lbs 8 oz with her clothes on. Her little legs are getting chubby and her double chin is filling in nicely. I feel like we have a chunky baby in our future. Maybe she'll hit Kinsey's birth weight (6 lbs 12 oz) by the time she is two months old!

I love chunky babies! They're just so soft and kissable. I'm so glad that she's gaining weight and growing well for you.
