Date

On Wednesday Jason took Kinsey out to dinner for her birthday. We knew that we couldn't all go (Kaitlyn can't be around crowds) so we decided that Jason would take her on a Daddy/Daughter Date. Kinsey was so excited all day about her "special date" with Daddy. She had such a good time, when we ask her what her favorite part was she says, "Singing the Happy Birthday song!" (They sang to her at the restaurant). After dinner, they tried to go buy the fish we promised Kinsey but the pet store didn't have betas. So they went to Wal-Mart instead and Kinsey ended up bringing home some bracelets, silly string and a recorder (the annoying music things). She had too much fun.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
