Camping with Yogi Bear

I few months ago I came across a living social deal for 2 nights at a Yogi Bear Campground. We were able to work some scheduling magic and shared a site with my parents. We had so much fun and we are very happy we have another voucher we'll be able to use in the fall.

The girls set up. Kaitlyn says that she has a sleeping bug, which I think is pretty clever.

I bought the giant marshmallows this time and they were fun but hard to eat and very messy!

Boo Boo Bear, Kaitlyn ran right up and gave him a big hug!

Even Kinsey allowed a small, side armed hug, the first time she has ever gotten close to a big character like this.

Geocaching. I decided this is the best way to get kids to hike without complaining!

Kaitlyn was not excited about the life jacket. Love her grumpy face!

Painting banks. Kinsey chose Cindy Bear and Kaitlyn chose Ranger Smith.

Canoeing. The girls loved it. Kinsey freaked when we rocked the boat and was

convinced we were all going to drown.

Kaitlyn managed to get Yogi to sit down and give her some one on one attention. I swear this girl could get ANYONE to do ANYTHING! Even a person in giant bear suit that doesn't talk. By the time they finished their conversation Yogi had been invited to our campsite for hot dogs and s'mores.

Kinsey wouldn't actually talk to Yogi, so she whispered what she wanted to say to Kaitlyn and then Kaitlyn would say it. Funny girls!

Kaitlyn got Cindy to water flowers even after all the watering cans had been put away.

I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
