Trophy Week

At the end of the gymnastics year, all the kiddos get a trophy.  Not really sure why they get a trophy, all they do is show up each week because their parents bring them and pay a lot of money for them to be there, but whatever.  When I was a kid I had to actually win something to get a trophy, but again whatever.  Age of entitlement or something like that.  We are actually switching Kinsey to dance next week because I want her to do something where she works towards something, even if it is just an end of the year performance.  Unless she competes in gymnastics (which isn't something we want to commit our lives to) she only has lessons and never any chance set goals, learn to win/lose, or use what she has learned.  She wont go anywhere near any sport that has a ball or physical contact, so dance is the best I can come up.  I think we are going to put Kaitlyn in soccer :)

So, they get a trophy.  And it's very fun for them.  And fun for parents too, even if I do think it's a little silly to get a participant trophy (I grew up with competitive older brothers).

Kinsey with her teacher Miss Katherine.  We do love her teacher!
