Green Level Gourd Farm

Yes I know that Christmas is over and I am STILL blogging about October, but at least it is getting done. Someday I'll be happy that I didn't just skip over months of our lives. We fill our lives with so much fun these days that is hard to stop and blog about it, but I don't want to lose these memories. So, with that being said, enjoy these pictures from a lovely fall day in October!

We made it back to our favorite pumpkin patch with our favorite pumpkin patch friends. I assume that some day our kids will be too old to appreciate this little local gem, but until then, I'm sure we'll make the drive out to Apex every October.

The girls all love playing, going on the hayride, picking out pumpkins, and just being outside. I always feel so peaceful at the Green Level Gourd Farm and we are never in a hurry to leave.

We made a quick stop at the temple after the pumpkin patch. Then we enjoyed a fun dinner on a rooftop patio and watched the sunset. Perfect.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

Kinsey and I took a walk to take some things to the recycling bins. She usually brings her stroller and a doll or two but didn't ask to this time. When we were halfway to the recycling bins, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Oh my! We forgot mine stroller!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
