Zoo Day

My friend Becca and I took our kids to the zoo a couple weeks ago. I've never done the zoo without Jason and it was quite the experience. Of course Becca was there, but she also had two kids, so both our arms were full. Getting on and off the "train" that takes you back and forth from the two parks with 4 kids and two huge strollers was...interesting. The train, by the way, was the highlight of the trip for ALL the kiddos, babies included. We could have ridden all day and they wouldn't have even missed the animals.

We had PERFECT weather. Jason and I have been avoiding the zoo since the last time we went, waiting for the crowds to die down and the weather to cool. We were successful on both counts, but some of the animals are not around in the fall and some of the exhibits are closed, so we did sacrifice a bit of the experience but it was still totally fun :)
