Jason had today off so we decided to go to the zoo...along with about 10,000 other people who also had the day off. Really, 10,000. That is the rough, low estimate a lady in the zoo office gave me. And it was hot. Really, really hot. I'm pretty sure everyone there was saying to themselves, "What were we thinking?" That sure is what we were thinking (ok, saying out loud) as we were directed to park on the grass because the parking lot was completely full. Anyways, it was fun. And we bought a yearly membership so now we can go whenever we want, though we'll probably wait until the fall to go back again. Thankfully, our pass works at the aquariums too and they are pretty much all inside and air conditioned. And on the beach. :)

Sitting on an elephant

Our sweet set up, we hooked Kinsey's umbrella on the stroller with clothespins to give her some shade. You can see Kaitlyn's little feet poking out of the front, she was napping.

Kinsey said her favorite part of the zoo was looking at the frogs with her dad. Jason enjoyed the birds and I favored the zebra's. Kaitlyn liked the squash I fed her for lunch.

So, Kim, after reading your post here...I have to say.. I'm kind of glad that I didn't end up going! Ha ha. Really though, I think the crowds and the heat and the twins would have stressed me out, but I'm glad that you're cool and found the fun in it. =)
I love the 'I belong in the zoo' sticker. Awesome.
