9

Kaitlyn is 9 months old today. 9 months! Seriously?

At 9 months...

She does pretty well eating food. She wont eat plain cereal (but she is fine if I add it to food) and she doesn't really care for pears or peas. Or peaches. Maybe it is just a P thing... She really likes bananas, applesauce, squash, and sweet potatoes. She wont eat any sort of "table food" but we'll get there. I'm just so grateful that she will eat.
She's a decent sitter, but I can't leave her by herself or she tips over. But again, we're getting there.
She is still shaking her head no and thinks it is the funniest thing. We encourage it (we probably shouldn't) because we love to see her interacting. As soon as she sees food, she shakes her head no even if she wants it. Silly girl.
She likes watching Signing Time with Kinsey.
She is mellow.
She loves watching people. We have a hard time getting her to roll over and reach for items during physical therapy because she just watches us.
After she wakes up, she lies in her crib and giggles.
She loves saying, "Ha ha ha ha" and says it all the time, in between gurgling.

She is such a fun little bug!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

Kinsey and I took a walk to take some things to the recycling bins. She usually brings her stroller and a doll or two but didn't ask to this time. When we were halfway to the recycling bins, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Oh my! We forgot mine stroller!"

Kinsey poked herself in the eye today and kept crying about it. Apparently I didn't comfort her good enough because she kept saying "See Cole!" (our friend Nicole). I kept telling her that we couldn't go see Nicole right now and she finally said, "Get in car and see Cole!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
