Hanging Rock

At the beginning of this month we took a trip to Hanging Rock State Park. There are a few little cabins that you can rent out and we were able to book one during the very busy fall season. Despite packing nearly my entire house for the trip, I forgot my camera. I did however remember to pack Kinsey's new camera and I was able to get a few pictures. Her little pink camera did a decent job capturing our beautiful state...

The girls were sooo excited to fish. And by fish I mean they would cast and reel, cast and reel and then squeal with delight when they caught some weeds...

Both the girls had fishing poles. Eliza's is pink while Kinsey's looks like a regular fishing pole, just little. Kinsey's daddy neglected to point out the pink Barbie poles while Kinsey was "picking out her own pole." Kinsey was able to get a few turns with the pink one though, and didn't seem to mind that hers wasn't quite so girly.

Kaitlyn scooted around in the dirt and only took one fall, right onto a huge root in the ground that bruised her sweet face. Of course.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
