My Kaitlyn is 4 months old today. Wow! How did that happen?

She's lost her rooting reflex. Now, when she realizes she is about to get fed, she starts kicking her legs and does this funny little laugh/cry. It cracks me up.
She has a soft/silky blanket that she loves to rub with her hands. It keeps her entertained in her carseat.
She just started reaching for things. She is not very good at it yet, but it's coming.
She likes to suck on her fingers, though usually she tries to stick her whole fist in her mouth. She keeps one hand in a fist and uses the other hand to try and shove it in. Silly girl.
She is getting better at tummy time but doesn't roll over yet. She seems to be getting closer though.
She loves lights and ceiling fans.
She laughs when she sees herself in the mirror.
She still loves her binkie.
She can get mad! She HATES the shots that she has to get and gets so red in the face and screams and screams.

She is so fun and such a tough little girl! For the most part, she is a very easy going baby. She is less dramatic than Kinsey was (some things never change) but has more of a temper. Her eyes are the exact same blue as Jason's and her hair has an auburn tint to it. She's sweet as can be and we love her to pieces!

Pretty soon you might be forgetting why it was that you were so worried in the first place. Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

Kinsey and I took a walk to take some things to the recycling bins. She usually brings her stroller and a doll or two but didn't ask to this time. When we were halfway to the recycling bins, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Oh my! We forgot mine stroller!"

I was getting ready in the bathroom, a room with no windows, and Kinsey told me, "Mommy, we don't need lights, the sun is on!"

Kinsey poked herself in the eye today and kept crying about it. Apparently I didn't comfort her good enough because she kept saying "See Cole!" (our friend Nicole). I kept telling her that we couldn't go see Nicole right now and she finally said, "Get in car and see Cole!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
