Spring Break

We were all so excited for Kinsey's spring break this year but it ended up being kind of a bummer.  First, Winter (the hamster) died just a few days before school got out.  Then Kaitlyn broke her nose and we had to cancel our trip to DC.  I came down with an awful stomach flu a few days later,  luckily no one else caught it.  We had cold weather; one day our high was 36 degrees (which is just crazy for spring in North Carolina).  It just wasn't what we had planned.  I asked Kinsey if she had fun, and she said yes so I guess that is the important part.  We did manage to find some fun activities to do.

Sharpie Tie Dye shirts.  SO fun for the girls.  They loved this project!  It was easy and very inexpensive, though the permanent sharpies aren't actually totally permanent.  We want to tie dye again soon, with regular dye.

Puppet shows with puppets Kinsey made at a library program

I took the girls to a pottery painting place.  It was expensive, but really the only thing we paid for during the break.  They had such a good time.  Kaitlyn LOVES to paint!

Crossing my fingers that next year Spring Break will involve more spring and less breaks!
