Charlie

We finally got a new hamster. The girls are so excited! He is a tiny Russian Dwarf hamster and he seems happy to have a new home. Kaitlyn gave him his name. She was spouting out random, made-up names when she happened to (probably accidentally) say Charlie and we went with it. Kinsey thinks it's funny because there is a boy in her kindergarten class named Charlie and she can't wait to tell him about her new hamster :)

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
