Talent Show

We had a ward talent show (months ago) and the girls did a little dance with their friends and Kinsey did hula hooping by herself. They had so much fun and did such a good job! No stage fright for these girls! The videos are long and are included mostly for the viewing pleasure of the Grandmas, but the second video of Kinsey is so fun at the beginning. People knew she was going to be hula hooping, but I don't think anyone expected her to do as well as she did. I love the cheer she got after she got started and people realized that this little 5 year old was actually doing a pretty good job! My biggest regret of the night (other than I didn't zoom in the camera) is that I did not get Kaitlyn's bow after she finished dancing :) It was so cute. Uncle Troy was down for the weekend and was able to to meet us at the church for the show. The girls loved having him there!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
