Christmas morning I met the girls in their room to find Kinsey sobbing. She was soooo sad that Taylor had gone back to the North Pole for a whole year. She didn't even want to come see her presents, she just wanted Taylor. She still talks about him wistfully. Whenever she tells someone about her presents, she always says they came from Taylor--NOT Santa.

Taylor
This year we joined to masses and got ourselves an Elf. He arrived the first day of December and brought the girls some Christmas jammies. Kinsey named him Taylor. I had no idea he would be such a huge hit. Every morning the girls were so excited to see where he had moved to during the night (if you're unfamiliar with the Elf on a Shelf click here). He brought a piece of candy each day (I had saved candy from Halloween to use in an advent calendar but I don't actually have an advent calendar so this worked out well) and occasional surprise. Kinsey absolutely loved Taylor and I can't wait to do the whole thing again next year, though I think he'll arrive the day after Thanksgiving so that we have a little more time with him.
