Sleigh Ride

The weekend before Christmas we met up with some friends for a sleigh ride. The girls all LOVED it and I only wish it had been a little longer (and better advertised, we drove around FOREVER trying to find the dang horse). After the sleigh ride our friends came over for a "Mary and Joseph" type meal complete with hummus, grapes, olives, pears, and pita bread (and grilled chicken, which was pushing things a bit). I love Christmastime!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
