Kaitlyn turns 2!!!

Kaitlyn turned two on July 23rd. We've had a huge wooden box sitting in our living for a the past few weeks (a birthday gifts from my parents) and it was driving us NUTS so we opened it first thing Saturday morning. It was a rocking horse--Kaitlyn loves it! The horse neighs and nods its head up and down and Kaitlyn imitates it, it's so funny.

After opening the box, we took the girls to PetSmart so Kaitlyn could spend some time with a few dogs-her absolute favorite thing these days. It was Adopt-a-Poodle-Day and Kaitlyn loved cuddling with the puppies. We went to Red Robin for lunch because Kaitlyn will actually eat french fries (most days). They sang to her and gave her ice cream and she was happy as could be.

After a nap, we headed to our wards Pioneer Party. It was HOT that day, over 100 with the heat index, but we still had fun. Kinsey got to go canoeing and both girls got to go on a tractor ride.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
