The 4th

We had a really great 4th of July weekend. On Saturday (the 2nd) we spent the afternoon looking at booths, eating $1 turkey burgers, making crafts, and listening to music in Brier Creek. We stayed for the fireworks that evening. We were able to watch them from an elementary school, which meant the girls were able to play on the playground until it got too dark. Both the girls LOVED the fireworks. Kaitlyn kept saying, "Oh! Wow!" and Kinsey said, "It's like we're watching a big sky tv!" They were a bit grumpy the next day due to staying up until 11, but it was worth it.

Monday we had a ward breakfast at a park in the morning, and we took the girls swimming in the afternoon. We BBQ'd with friends in the evening (in the rain) and then did sparklers while watching the fireworks people were setting off in our neighborhood. Perfect weekend.

We love America!

Kaitlyn's weird about eating. We're working on it.

Looks like you guys had fun! I love that Kaitlyn is chewing on the watermelon rind. Nothing says summer like watermelon.
