Saturday we had a mad dash to clean the house and repack all our cars before heading to the beach one last time. The weather was finally warm and the water was much better too! We really should have stayed another week... After a picnic by the Hatteras Lighthouse; we headed home. We stopped at the Bodie Island Lighthouse on our way out. We've seen this lighthouse, but had never stopped to visit. Kaitlyn was sleeping so I stayed in the car with her while Jason and Kinsey explored for a little while. They are in the process of renovating it and in a few years, you'll be able to climb to the top of this one too.
Lighthouses are just cool.

Most of our crew spent the night at our house Saturday before flying out early Sunday morning. It was nice to see everyone one last time. Kinsey was so excited that everyone came to her "regular house."
We are so glad we were able to do this trip! Anyone else want to come and spend a week at the beach with us???

Yes. I do want to come spend a week at the beach with you. Maybe if we start planning now we can come if a couple of years. Hey, maybe it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to do it next year. We really would love to come see you! It sounds like a fun trip.
