We're still alive. Barely. We moved a week ago. In. The. Snow. We had the biggest snowstorm I've seen since moving here, so of course we would pick that weekend to move. We don't really have great luck around here (remember that pesky little thing called CMV?). Anyways, it was crazy but we made it. Some amazing people from church actually walked through the snow to help us load up the truck. My parents and brothers were also there to help and another friend joined in to help unload at the new house. So, we made it. I'm just glad to be done!
We are almost settled in our new place and Jason is enjoying his much shorter commute to work. I'm dreading my longer commute to the hospital (about 30 minutes now instead of 5) and we've gotten Kaitlyn set up with a new PT and service coordinator.
The girls have both adjusted well. Kinsey recently started getting herself up in the mornings. In the past, she would just stay in her bed until I went and got her up. I'm not sure how I got her to do this for almost 3.5 years, but it was nice. She gets up at about 8 which isn't bad at all. She likes our new place and her new sunbeams class.
Kaitlyn miraculously put herself on a great schedule. Her schedule's been crazy due to so many appointments in the past. She now consistently takes a short morning nap, a LONG afternoon nap, and sometimes a short cat nap in the evenings. She goes to sleep between 8 or 9pm, gets up once to eat before I go to bed, and sleeps until 8 the next morning. I love her.
Kaitlyn has also become much more interactive this past week. I don't know what it is about this new place but she's doing great. She's always been very alert and attentive, she loves to watch and observe what is going on, but lately she's just seemed...more alert. Kinsey even commented on it, saying, "She's finally looking at me!" She's always "looked" at her but I think that was her way of saying that Kaitlyn's really watching, and sometimes imitating her. Needless to say, we are thrilled. I'm also thrilled that her hair is finally starting to grow.
For an example of her new interaction skills, watch the video below. She's so funny! She works so hard to get her little lips to do just what she wants them too.

I'm so glad that you made it into your new place despite the storm! Sounds like you're getting settled in well. Caitlyn has grown so much, what a doll!
Glad your move went well. Hope it's a nice place for you for awhile! I'm sure you are done with moving!!!
Cute video! :)
Well so glad to "meet" you! Your girls are absolutely darling.
As far as being watched for CMV while I am pregnant, it's been blood titers being drawn and instead of an ultrasound at 20 weeks, we have an ultrasound by a perinatologist at 17 weeks to make sure the baby looks great. I actually just miscarried on the 28th of January though, so as for this one. . . I'm not being watched anymore obviously.
Savanah is extremely healthy, we feel incredibly blessed to have such a miraculous CMV child and your's looks beauitful and healthy as well.
I am on FB, if you are. . . good way to keep in touch! Take care.
