What's in a name...

Did I ever mention that we ended up with 3 pages of name suggestions for Kaitlyn? No one suggested Kaitlyn. My brother suggested Kate so I guess he wins the prize for being the closest. The prize is that we will feed him a home cooked meal each Sunday.

Kaitlyn was on my list of names, along with about 20 other ideas. We were trying to decide between Madelyn Grace and Cadence Nicole. "Baby Girl Hill" was over 24 hours old before Jason finally came up with Kaitlyn Grace. He suggested it and I said, "Lets do it."

So we did. And it's perfect.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
