The doctor's gave the go-ahead for Kaitlyn to come home! I am so ready to be done living at the hospital. (I'm not sure if I posted it on this blog but they moved Kaitlyn to the PICU. She didn't have nurses with her all the time like she did in the NICU so I have been staying here with her). We will continue to do her medicine at home and she will have lots of monitoring. I think we already have 3 appointments set up for next week with more coming.
Another neat thing happened today. A non-profit group called Flashes of Hope came to the childrens hospital to take pictures of the kids. The pictures are completely free to parents. I was feeling sad that I hadn't been able to get any nice newborn pictures of Kaitlyn done. They took pictures of Kaitlyn sleeping and me holding her. I can't wait to see them when they are done. They were so nice and the photographer really took his time. This whole experience has really shown us how many good people there are out there!

I am so happy that she got to come home! That is such a great day! Sounds like you'll be quite busy though.. I hope you've had time to recover and relax a bit (as much as you can with a little one in the NICU). She is absolutely beautiful and you can definitely tell her and Kinsey are sisters! I think they look a lot alike.
That's so neat that you were able to get some pictures done. I love it when people are generous with their talents and time.. it was probably a much needed service to lighten your spirits!
I would love to read the blog you've done for Kaitlyn. My e-mail is abbeymangus@gmail.com.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, what a great birthday gift! We can't wait to see her at home!
