Traveling

When I told my parents I was getting married, my Dad said to me, "You know this means your traveling days are over Kim. Are you ok with that?" This was his biggest reservation about me getting married, despite the fact that I was young and hadn't finished school. Traveling was, and still is, something really important to me. In fact, not being able to follow through with my original plans (finish school, join the Peace Corps, see the world and then get married) has proved the hardest part of being married for me. Luckily, being married (and in school) and having children is enough of an adventure for right now. And someday I will see more than 4.4% of the world (like when we have some sort of an income other than student loans).

Kim. I am not sure that was a reservation about you getting married. I just wanted you to be aware of one of the changes that was coming. Anyway, it worked out. I filled out the maps. I have been to 23 countries (10.2%) and 45 states (90%) so I am still ahead of you. Ha Ha Ha I plan on making it to the 5 states I have not seen and a few more countries before I quit traveling. All the traveling makes me appreciate what a great country we live in.
Love you DAD
