Another big deal was putting Kinsey to bed in her toddler bed for the first time. She was so excited all day long. We were nervous that she wouldn't actually stay in the bed, but she fell asleep with no problems at all. She kept saying "Bye Mom, Bye Dad" to get us out of her room so that she could go to sleep.
We were pretty excited about how easy it was. And then...I heard Kinsey crying in the middle of the night. I thought that she had fallen out of bed. I walked in and found out that she had thrown up all over her new bed. She has never had any sort of stomach flu before in her little life. Jason and I kind muddled through trying to figure out what to do. She threw up about 5 more times before she finally was able to go back to sleep with me on an air mattress next to her. She threw up again this morning after she got up but has been pretty much ok ever since. She took a good long nap in her toddler bed again this afternoon and I did lots of laundry...
I don't think it even occurs to her to get out of her new bed. She isn't the mischievous type. I'm sure that she will think of an excuse to get up someday soon, but for now I am appreciating how easy this transition has been.
So meat, toddler bed, and middle of the night sickness. I feel like a real mother now.

I was just thinking that that is a real mommy story... and then you stated that at the end of the post. I hope she's feeling better today and still enjoying the new bed!
Still the cutest girl! I love the new bed and the cute things she says. Hope she's feeling better. AND CONGRATS on baby #2! That's really exciting and we are so happy for you. You have such a cute family already and we can't wait to watch it grow. Glad you are feeling better too!
Hi Kim!! Sorry it's been awhile since I've checked in. Kinsey has gotten so big and her hair is so long!! I love it! So sorry she was sick, but wow, I love her bedding! :) You have such good taste. I also wanted to say a huge congrats on #2! How very exciting. We're 6 weeks away from welcoming a little girl into this crazy house of boys. Anyway, hope you're feeling well and that Jason's enjoying school. Good luck with everything!

Around my hose if you don't have meat for dinner the natives go into riot mode. Sorry to hear about the throw-up incident. The only thing worse then that is when it is coming from both ends. You'll want to grow into that one.
