Colorado

I'm going to try and get our trip finished today. We have been home for almost three weeks but life keeps happening and I just haven't had much time. I have more things I want to post after I finish this trip, including our trip to the beach this weekend, so we'll see if what I can get it done....

Day 7-I am not really sure what we did during the day. I think that I did some homework, Jason might have as well. We spent the evening visiting with Jason's grandparents. It was a relaxing day compared to getting stuck in the mud! No pictures...

Day 8-Jason, Kinsey and I went to Durango, CO for the day. Kinsey had never been and I thought she would enjoy it. It is a nice little town in the mountains with a fun downtown and lots of little shops. Some pictures...

Beautiful!

I personally cannot go to Durango without getting a caramel apple from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. It is just what you are supposed to do.

Here is our apple. It is more than just a caramel apple. We had one that was dipped in caramel, white chocolate, rolled in snickers pieces and drizzeled with chocolate. Sooo good!

Kinsey's first bite

The highlight of Kinsey's day could easily have been the 50 cent ride on trusty Sugar Loaf. She is easily entertained.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
