Rainbow Loom

Kinsey has been making rainbow loom bracelets like crazy this past week. She's wanted a loom for awhile now and I made her a deal that she could either get a loom or she could get a new Halloween costume. If she choose the loom, she''d need to borrow a costume or wear something that we already own. The loom won. :)

I was super impressed when Kinsey came up with her own bracelet design. She made a flower with petals (on the far right in the picture below), then a stem (middle green part), and a stem (black and orange part on the left side). She hooked it all together and it worked!

So cool!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
