Leaves, leaves, leaves!

We have sooo many trees at our new house. They look nice in the summer, but our fall has been so consumed by cleaning up the leaves. Someday I want a yard with no trees! Or just a few trees. No more living in the woods! Anyway, we have spent a lot of time blowing and raking leaves. We had a massive pile of leaves that I meant to take a picture of, but the leaf truck already came and sucked them all up.

One beautiful fall day after I dropped Kinsey off at school, Jason and I headed outside with Kaitlyn (still in her pajamas) for some leaf clean up. Kaitlyn was such a fun little helper!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
