My Sweet Girls

Kaitlyn is so in love with Kinsey. I don't blame her. Kinsey is SUCH a good big sister. We recently started a chore chart for Kinsey and one of her chores is to "Help Kaitlyn." Kinsey loves this. The other day she told me, "If you need to go shower, or go somewhere else in the house (where would I go?) I can take care of Kaitlyn. Just don't worry about it."

I love this picture. Kinsey was watching tv and Kaitlyn scooted up next to her and lied down on her tummy and tried to do just what Kinsey was doing. She was so funny, looking at Kinsey over and over to make sure she had it just right.

Kaitlyn is on and off with how much touching she will tolerate, and she used to hate the hugs Kinsey would give her. She would squirm and push Kinsey away. This made Kinsey so sad because Kinsey is VERY affectionate and loves hugs so she began to say, "Please help Kaitlyn to like hugs more" in her prayers. And guess what? It worked. Now Kaitlyn will go lie her head down on Kinsey's lap or open her arms for a big hug.

I love it.

P.S. I am very bad at knowing when to use lay and lie and lied, ect. So if I did it wrong in this post, sorry. Farmington Public Schools failed me in that area. In fractions too.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
