Soon after Kaitlyn was born, Kinsey went through this stage where she would say things like, "When Kaitlyn is bigger, she'll be able to go swimming with me!" or, "When Kaitlyn grows up, she'll be able to play games with me." At the time it was torturous because we really didn't know what Kaitlyn would be able to do when she grew up. We didn't know if she would walk or talk or eat or hear or see. It drove me nuts to try and field those comments from Kinsey until Jason finally reminded me that Kaitlyn would be able to swim, she would be able to play. Maybe not in the way most kids do, but she would be able to do it.
As time has gone on, and Kaitlyn has exceeded every exception we could have had, I find myself so grateful for all she can do. She is undoubtedly behind most kids her age, but she can do so much. She can hear. She can see. She can smile and laugh. Soon she'll be walking. And she can play with Kinsey

Awww. Sooo sweet.
Love it love it love it! I had many of the same fears - and fielded many of the same comments from Eric. Today, they are constantly running around chasing each other and laughing gleefully. Danny interacts better with his brother than anyone else, myself included. I have no doubts Kinsey and Kaitlyn will be the same way!
What an awesome story!
That made my heart happy too. She really is such an amazing little girl.
What a sweet big sister Kinsey is.
