Snow Day

Snow started falling late on Christmas Day, and when we woke up on Sunday, we had quite a few inches. It was enough to cancel church and pretty much shut the whole state down. It came at the perfect time, it was fun to play in the snow and recover from Christmas, without having to rush out the door to get to church. Kinsey LOVES it and has been playing outside in the snow every day. We're not really prepared for snow anymore, both girls have nice coats and hats, but that is it. No snow pants, boots, or even a sled. We made it work though :)

Laundry Basket Sled

Bilibo Sled, better in theory than practice (We DID get Kinsey some boots yesterday, poor little cold feet! No sled yet though, Target was sold out)

Snow!

Backwards sledding

Sledding with Uncle (who got snowed in for a day)

Just a note--by the end of the day on Christmas, there was 4/10 of an inch of snow. It was enough to tie for the biggest snow fall of Christmas Day in the history of Raleigh (since they started recording it sometime in the 1800's). The last time there was this much snow was in 1952 :)
