The Girlies Again

Yesterday was a LONG day. We never stay home all day. We're always running around to preschool, appointments, playdates, therapy, ect. If we don't have anything scheduled, I go to the gym and the girls go to the little daycare room they provide. About a month ago, we had a rare day with nothing scheduled and I decided to give us all a break and just stay home. It was the WORST day. My girls are both social little busy body's and been cooped up in the house just doesn't work for them. Now we never stay home all day unless we have no other choice, like yesterday when the roads were snowy and icy. Really, I would probably have been fine driving (we have a Subaru and it's pretty much awesome) but no one here seems to know how to drive in any sort of winter weather so I decided to just stay put. Plus it was cold. Anyway...it was a long day. Around 4:30 I finally stuck the girls in the bath because there was nothing left to do. I told Kinsey they could wear their swimming suits so it would feel like they were swimming. This is the game they came up with. They did it over and over and over! Kaitlyn had bruises on her little bum this morning. Check out my baby pulling up! She is doing this all over the place.

I love to see them playing together! This time last year we were wondering if Kaitlyn would ever be able to really play with Kinsey. She's unstoppable!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
