Stupid germs

Both the girls are sick. Kinsey's been sick with a cold since Saturday and is finally getting better but she still has a cough. Every morning she wakes up and says, "I'm still sick! Am I going to be sick for all day?" Kaitlyn finally decided that she felt left out and one-upped her sister a double ear infection and a post nasal drip or something gross like that. We started getting worried about her after she screamed (and I mean screamed) all of Monday night. I called her nurse (the ID nurse that is the go between for our ID doctor) and she said to take her in the next day (Wednesday) if she wasn't doing any better. With Kaitlyn we just don't take chances. So, Wednesday came around and she was not any better so off to the doctor we went. We still have not switched pediatricians (I'm picky) so we drove the 30 miles to our old one. It went smoothly; we got her on super charged Amoxicillin and also got her blood work done to make sure this bug isn't doing anything tricky to her precarious blood count. She slept great last night (the first time in awhile) and hopefully she'll be back to normal soon. So now she is on an antiviral, an antibiotic, and 2 different types of injections. Poor little thing...

I want to eradicate the world of germs!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
