Kaity Bug at 8 months...
- Just starting to sit! This is soooo huge! We were told when she was born that she might never sit, (or crawl, or walk, or talk, ect) so to have her doing it so soon (for CMV) makes my happy, happy, happy!
- She is eating food! Again, seems like no big deal but many kiddo's with CMV have major oral sensory issues. It took us a month to get her to eat, and that was with waiting until she was 7 months old, but she is doing pretty good now. She doesn't eat a lot, but she opens her mouth willingly (in the beginning I just shoved it in) and seems to enjoy it. Yay!
- She's "getting" things. Today I asked her if she wanted to "jump" (in her jumper) and she got sooo excited. She does the same thing if I say "milk."
- She absolutely loves Kinsey and gets very excited to see her. It is so fun to see.
- People are always asking me if Kaitlyn is always as calm as she is when they are around her. She is. She is very mellow, not demanding, and happy to just watch the world go around.
- She puts herself right to sleep with no dramatics. She has to be swaddled and binkied, but after that, she just lies there and drifts off to sleep... She also goes to sleep at the same time as Kinsey and they get up around the same time. Very, very nice.
- She has the chubbiest legs EVER! I can hardly get her pants over them. :) When she was born her legs were so, so skinny; hardly bigger than my thumb. They look very healthy now.
