Snow!

Finally some pictures of our big snowstorm! I woke Kinsey up and told her that it had snowed. She was so excited that we went outside to play before breakfast-still in our pajamas. She soon learned that snow is COLD and we went back in a few minutes later...

Later, with some more layers on, we went back outside. Kinsey loved every minute in the snow and got out her sand toys so that she could shovel and pack all the snow. Jason found some wood outside our house and made a beautiful fire in our previously unused fireplace. We watched the inauguration and drank hot chocolate. I'm glad that we were able to have at least a little fun in the snow this year, I'm also glad that all the snow is melted and temperatures are going back up. Life is definitely less complicated when you don't have to deal with coats/mittens/hats/ice/snow/ect.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
