Done!

I just did my very last assignment of my college career. It feels so weird and wonderful and sad at the same time. I have always liked school and will miss it but I am so glad to be done!

There was a time (after I had Kinsey) that I wasn't sure if I would ever finish my degree. I am so grateful that I was able to. I am also grateful that I have a supportive husband who encouraged me to go back to school. He helped me search for a daycare for Kinsey (not an easy task!) and volunteered to arrange his schedule so that he could watch her one day per week. Being a "Mr. Mom" had its entertaining moments...see here.

I ended up with a degree in sociology, not my original intent but I loved every minute of my classes. I am sure that when I was a little girl, full of potential and promise, my mother never thought to herself, "Maybe on day Kim will be a sociologist." Oh well.

In any case, I'm done! Unless of course I decide that I want a master's one day...

Congrats Kim! I know what you mean about mixed emotions. I sometimes miss school and the classes...for the lectures. In the past few months I considered going back some day. There are so many things out there that interest me. Oh, I found out over Thanksgiving that I have a cousin going to UNC. He is a freshman. I told him about you guys. When I was growing up UNC was the school I always told people I was going to attend. Happy Holidays to you guys!

Yay! Kim, you are SO master's material so some day when the time is ripe and you are at a good point in life, totally consider it: seems like you'd be perfect! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We're still waiting for the entry about Jason being done with HIS papers... Marcos is chomping at the bit here... xoxo

Congratulations Kim, it's good to hear that you are done. It's a lot of work especially when juggling a child into the schedule. Say Hi and good luck on his papers to Jason!

Congrats. That is such an accomplishment, and especially while juggling a family!
