My Girl

Kinsey has become very opinionated about her outfits. Each morning as I am getting her clothes ready for the day, she tells me, "I want pink clothes."

Kinsey has started to have lengthy conversations with herself. She sings her bedtime songs to her stuffed animals and says goodbye to everything and everyone at random moments throughout the day--a conversation that sounds something like this..."Bye Bampa, Bye Santa, Bye blankies, Bye Nemo, Bye Guy, Bye Cole, Bye Woo, Bye Kinsey's seat, Bye Dada, Bye Uncle. "

Yesterday Jason and I subbed for Kinsey's nursery teachers. We gave the kids some goldfish on a paper towel for snack. Some of the kids finished their goldfish really fast and wanted more. As I was giving out more to the ones who had finished, I heard Kinsey say, "I want some." I was surprised that she was already done with her first helping (she is a really slow eater). I gave her some more anyways, only to find out later that she had hid her first portion under the paper towel. She's two! Where did she learn that?

I bought Kinsey some new toothpaste that has a picture of Winnie the Pooh on it. She calls it "baby shampoo." Why? I have no idea.

I love hearing about all the cute things she says! I can't believe the tiny baby I remember has become this beautiful little girl already!

That bit about the gold fish is funny. You better keep an eye on her.

Kim - do not underestimate the mind of a toddler. Your brother, I won't mention which one, at 3 years of age was smart enough to realize that if he "hung out" in the bathroom at his swimming lesson he would miss most of the lesson.

I love 2 year olds-exhausting yes, but sooo adorable. I love how kids communicate. I wish I could video most everything that Alexis says. Kinsey is getting to be so grown up I can hardley believe it!
