Friday Night Fun

We had a great time last night hanging out with friends from our FHE group. First came a bluegrass concert. It was a lot of fun. Then we watched an outdoor movie (Kung Foo Panda-surprisingly funny). It was a great way to take an almost 2 year old to see a movie. She could walk around, she didn't have to be completely quiet but she could still watch and pretty much enjoy the movie.

Notice her hair? She was sweating like crazy--it looks like we poured water on her head but it is just a product of the wonderful humidity!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
