Our Little Pumpkin

My mom was in town this week and we took Kinsey downtown to do some trick-or-treating. I took her last year and she just slept through the whole thing. I guess she enjoyed it this year...she was so confused by the whole thing. She just stared at people and tried to figure it out. She is usually soooo outgoing and smiles at everyone; this time she just looked at people like they were crazy! I guess it is kind of a weird holiday when you thing about it... Anyways, we had fun and Kinsey enjoyed playing with her candy afterwards.

Just trying to figure the whole thing out.

She held onto as many pieces of candy as she could and finally started sucking on the wrappers and saying, "Yum, Yum."

I think playing with the candy was her favorite part!

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
