I'm so glad when Daddy comes home

Jason went to New Mexico for a week after his sweet Grandma passed away. We all wanted to go to the funeral and see family, but last minute tickets to NM are outrageous so we just sent him. Luckily we have tickets for the rest of us to go see everyone in August. We can't wait!

We had a good "girls only" week while Jason was gone but we were happy to see him come home. While we were waiting in the airport Kinsey told me, "My whole body is ready for a hug."

Kinsey knew she wasn't supposed to cross a certain area that separated passengers and people picking them up, so when she saw Jason in the distance, she started doing this funny little dance. She wanted to run towards him but was afraid to cross the line. She's so funny. Such an obedient little thing.

Kaitlyn on the other hand starting inching her way across the line as soon as I told her we weren't allowed to cross it. Stinker...

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

Kinsey and I took a walk to take some things to the recycling bins. She usually brings her stroller and a doll or two but didn't ask to this time. When we were halfway to the recycling bins, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Oh my! We forgot mine stroller!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.
