Trip to New Mexico-Day 9

Today we packed up all our stuff and moved to Jason's parents house. We had such a good time with Grandma and Grandpa Stock and enjoyed seeing them and playing at the house one last time. Thanks for letting us invade your home for a week Mom and Dad!

We unpacked and got all settled in at the Hill house. The girls loved playing outside and getting Papa and Granny to themselves for a little while.

Kinsey loved the lawn mower, Kaitlyn loved it until it started and then she freaked!

Loving the swing set! It's way too hot to spend much time outside in North Carolina in July (unless we're at the pool) and it was nice to take a break from the heat for a couple of weeks! It seems backwards, because New Mexico is a desert, but that means it is not so humid and it cools down at night. We really enjoyed the weather.

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
