- Moving a little bit. If she is sitting, she can turn herself around. She just needs to figure out how to scoot forward (or backwards-I'm so not picky at this point) and she could get somewhere! She's close, I can feel it. We are working with her on army crawling as well as regular crawling in PT and she is getting stronger.
- Talking a lot! She has always been so far behind in her expressive language but she is catching up--she can say: "Ma Ma," "Ya Ya" (for Da Da), "Hi," "Hello," "Bye Bye" "Uh Oh," and "A Boo!" (for Peek-a-boo). Most of these words aren't very clear, but you can tell what she is trying to say if you are playing with her. It's fun.
- She imitates a lot. She imitates faces, hand movements, body movements, words, sounds, ect. We got her the Baby Signing Time collection for her birthday and I hope to see some signs soon! She waves and makes the sign for milk, though not really at the appropriate time. She has also started pointing and clapping her hands.
- She is finally bearing some weight on her legs. Until just a few weeks ago, she never would stand. She is finally strong enough and is doing great! She can't pull herself up, but if I stand her somewhere she can stay by herself for quite awhile. Her ankles are weak because she is so late to put weight on them; most babies start bearing weight early and their ankles build up strength as the baby grows, but Kaitlyn has to support all of her "big girl" weight with "baby" ankles and you can tell by looking at her ankles that it is tough for her. Her right ankle has a harder time and she will probably have a shoe insert or brace at some point, but that is months away. For now we are just happy to see her full height!

One!
I can't believe my little baby is 1! She's made a ton of progress in the past month, I can hardly believe it.
